Wordpress for Content Management and Blogging

One of the most popular blogging packages to install on your server is Wordpress. If you are using one of the cPanel hosting companies I recommend, the cPanel has an option to install the software on your website. Wordpress is open source software, so it is free to use. Wordpress has grown beyond blogging software and now is a very capable Content Management System (CMS) for websites. Complete websites can be designed using Wordpress. Once developed, the Wordpress website can be updated and maintained by people with a basic knowledge of Wordpress and no need to know HTML or web programming.

If you need some help learning all the many aspects of running your blog and customizing its style and layout, check out some of the books below. My favorite WordPress book is the first one, WordPress 2 (Visual QuickStart Guide). I like all of the Visual QuickStart Books.
